3)Elected as Congress-I M.L.A. for consequently five terms from Shiroda Constituency.

4)Inducted as Cabinet Minister for Education, Industry, Mines, Sports, Arts & Culture, Transport & River Navigation, PWD & Information, Govt. of Goa.

Establishment :

1)Established Educational Society "Shivgram Education Society" at Shiroda in 1988 with a Primary School, High School and a Higher Secondary School.

2)Established "Shri Kamaxidevi Homoeopathic Medical College at Shiroda in 998".

3)Established "Shree Rayeshwar Institute Of Engineering & Information Technology" at Shiroda in 2001.

ESTABLISHMENT :
The people of Goa had been very desperately craving for a faculty of Homoeopathy for a very long period. A comprehensive study of advancement of Homoeopathy in the world over and the necessity of Goans to have faculty of Homoeopathy inspired the Hon’ble Chairman and the members of the Governing Board to invest unforgettable efforts to establish Shri Kamaxidevi Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital in the year 1998 – 99. The College is affiliated to the privileges of University of Goa and recognized by the Central Council of Homoeopathy & Govt. of Goa. It is a massive project of extending the Noble knowledge of Homoeopathy -- a venture & the vision of our Hon’ble Chairman, Shri Subhash Shirodkar.
 
LOCATION :
 

The Shri Kamaxidevi Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital is a well established complex in a area admeasuring 2,50,000 Sq.Fts. It is located on a hill top overlooking the Zuari River, the then Aghanashini and the valley. It has a vantage point on one side with temples and churches on the other. It is now known as “Shiv-Shail”.


The college has excellent set up of teaching departments, administrative block, well equipped laboratories, Central & departmental library, Audio Visual Room, Seminar Room, 25 – bedded hospital and hygienic canteen facilities.
